Becoming a Leader

Call 0800 SCOUTS and learn more about becoming a leader!

SCOUTS New Zealand is a voluntary movement dedicated to the development of young people between the ages of 6 and 25. Each week adult leaders work in a variety of roles to help SCOUTS New Zealand achieve its aim.

When a new leader accepts a Warrant there is also a commitment on the part of the leader to undertake training appropriate to that appointment. Leaders may accept appointments in delivery, training or management.

Before you are permitted to work with young people, you will be interviewed, reference checked and have a police check.
